Fresh Re-install of Audigy 2 ?
I have the Creative Audigy 2 [SB 0240] sound card and over the last year probably due to numerous installs & uninstalls of various programs I have lost control of the EAX console & the audio player that comes with this card. I also have the Creative speakers 6.1 6600.
I have the original Creative installation CD, but over the last several years I have updated the drivers and added other d\l`s from Creative`s website. I probably would screw the system up if all I did was run the original CD install disc over the existing drivers & data in the system. I want to uninstall ALL of the creative software in my pc and start from scratch like a new installation using the original installation CD. I can then d\l & install the latest drivers after the fresh install. What suggested steps should I take to complete this task if possible, since I have heard it is a task to remove all of creative`s fragments in the pc. Thanks for any replys. Regards, Silverfox

to remove the existing drivers, run DH Driver Cleaner
follow the steps and that'll get rid of the drivers, then you can install any driver set you want

Your problem is software (apps) related, so I would suggest that you start by uninstalling everything related to the Creative apps and Audigy 2 in Control panel add/remove

Just checked the add\remove programs and the below is in the pc:
1. Creative Audio Console 0.90 mb 2. Creative DVD Audio Plugin for Audigy Series 0.10 mb 3. Creative Jukebox Driver 4.09 mb 4. Creative Mediasource 3.04 mb 5. Creative Nomad II Driver 190 mb Then toward the bottom there are two Audigy Icons listed separately titled the below: 6. Sound Blaster Audigy 2.73 mb 7. Sound Blaster Audigy 3.09 mb In what specific order should I start deleting these seven sources ? And then what do I do after that ? Thanks for the reply. Regards, Silverfox
