Hmm...are those like M1 revision 2 or something. They seem to be a bit different then I recall them to be.

Anyway congrats on your buy!

I myself bought a pair of Dynaudio BM6A wich also is a pair of active nearfield monitors. Only problem now is that my room is acoustically crappy

an audio engineer of mine swears by his dynaudios, fix up your room to do them justice

The Audience 52s are pretty nice from what I got to listen of them, but the midrange isn't quite right. Plus they are a bit pricey too for my taste.

Congratulations DJ_Stick for your new monitors. Enjoy.
It is always great to have new gear. it gives a lot of stimulation and more energy to make music.

I would like just to add my 0.5 cent to this conversation, and point that there 2 diametricaly opposed criterias of whitch loudspeakers one needs.

- Mixing and producing.
- Enjoing listening to the beauty of music.

If you are mixing and producing, you need a totaly flat response from you monitors.
Nothing added nothing substracted.
Otherwise, how would know whitch frequencys to expand or compress in your mix.
It is true that thousands of professional songs have been mixed with the Yamaha NS10
but that's only half of the story.
to my knowledge, it is impossible to mix with the NS10 without checking every 10 seconds
on the full range loudspeakers to hear what is going on below 80hz whitch is the low limit of the NS10. on the other hand if you need punch or clarity in your mix, they won't do it for you, you'll have to add it.

The other category of loudspeakers, the HI FI, has a totaly different approach.
Rounding all the corners.
Everything is filtered to bring out a warm silky bass, delicate crispy highs and most of all preventing from those nasty mids to envade the whole spectrum.

My wish for you and for me is to afford to get 3 or 4 monitoring systems.

Stay well.

WORD!

I'm thinking of moving some of my studio stuff to another place in town away from my neighbors so that I can do the work I need to do at the right volume levels.

Edit: I replaced my monitors in the room now and got a whole new sound. Before I had too much of 125Hz but now it sounds so sweet. God!! I don't think I'll ever going to sell these speakers!
