Multi Monitor Cubase SX
Just a quick query. I am running 2 monitors (one CRT and one LCD). They work just fine for everything, extended desktop mode. Except for Cubase. Normally I have the KX DSP one one monitor (along with my MX6, peak meters and whatever elsr) and cubase on the other. I wanted to have my project window on one monitor and the cubase mixer on ther other, but I cannot do it for some reason. Cubase doesnt appear to acknowledge that its a multi monitor setup, although I can drag it to either monitor, I can only use one at a time. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

ok the only way i know to use both monitors is to drag the bounding box of the application across both monitors - that's how i do it in logic, otherwise it's all stuck on the one screen
not the most elegant solution, but i think it's a windows limitation

I cannot do that either. Its as if cubase refuses to acccept that a second monitor exists. I can use either one or the other...

if you want the DSP to stay on the top, you can rightclick the DSP in the taskbar and select "always on top"
i do that with max's peakX plugin - looks cool on the side of the screen

Yea, I do that already but it sort of defeats the purpose of the dual monitor setup. Maybe a third monitor....... hmmmm.
I don't think I'm familiar with PeakX. Whats that when its at home? |

it's part of Max M's UFX plugin set, it's just a peak meter with cool graphics
