SPDIF in/out on SB0410

Hey Guys

I wish to record some mixes from a mixer that has digital out. Both optical and coax. I need a hand with getting SPDIF IN going on my budget live! 24bit. model no. SB410.

It looks like this:

From what i can gather the 10pin internal connector doesnt provide SPDIF IN and the only proper method to obtain this is by using the Sound Blaster Digital I/O module that plugs into the blue socket on the face plate of the card. I dont have one of these so im wondering of there is a makeshift cable that i can whip up?

This is the Digital I/O interface:

I know the blue connector on the card uses a 4 pole 3.5mm jack to interface with the digital I/O module.

Does anyone know the pin outs for this jack? Can i make a cable to go from the blue socket to coax digital?

Thanks heaps in advance.

P.S. here is the latest tune i put together in reason then layered some scratchs over with cool edit. http://home.curl.aunz.net/dj_krypt/

System Specs

the old pinout for the digital outputs of CL cards was this:

tip: front l/f spdif
ring1: rear l/r spdif
ring 2: center/lfe spdif
sleeve: ground

not sure what it is now though, if they've added an input to it

you could always test which is which via experimentation

I just purchased a SB0410 AND the Digital I/O module.

The plan was to use the 0410 card via Digital I/O module SPDIF Coaxial IN to connect to the DVD player's SPDIF (Coaxial) OUT and decode the Dolby Digital output from the DVD player...without purchasing an AV Dolby Digital decoder...

Well, after trial, all I got was silence, and the ocassional silent high-pitched sound of the 5.1 digital info being sent from the DVD player into the 0410 via the Digital I/O module...

The 0410 software only had the "Digital Out Only" advanced option available; what I need is that Flexijack option to receive Digital IN data... is this possible with the 0410 card?

Is there a Dolby Digital decoder software available for the PC? (I need to use an external DVD player to enjoy the DVD... the PC DVD player won't do.)
