Audigy2 Platinum eX: can't record
Rebuilt my Windows XP box, lost my original Audigy2 CD. Downloaded driver (SBAX_WEBUP_LB_2_08_0004) from Creative, and got audio working. Even got SPDIF passthru working so my AC3 divx files sound right, for the first time ever. W00t. And uICE is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
But I can't record. None of the inputs are registering in Sonar Home Studio, Windows Recorder, or anything. Do I need the creative surround mixer or speaker settings apps? I farted around with trying to get the modded Audigy4 drivers working, but an hour of that and I was fed up. When it's working, it's going to be pretty awesome: I'm going to pipe my Squeezebox2's digital output into my receiver, then hook the SB2's analog output into the "Line3" RCA input in the back of my Audigy2, then hook my PC to the HDTV and run G-Force Standalone in fullscreen mode listening to Audigy2 Line3 for happy mondo psychedelic visualization bliss. But how to get audio input working? G-Force sees the Line3 input and can select it, but it's flat, not hearing anything. I have checked the standard Windows mixer in both recording and playback modes, no help there either. Please help! TIA! |

Thanks for the quick response. That little mixer is cool.
You forgot to add "make sure the connectors are firmly in place". The main connector was half-unplugged. Oops! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKlKTdgKXoo |
