Any way to fake I/O drive bay for X-Fi?
Did anyone figured out how to fake optional I/O drive on X-Fi?
I been searching on google and ended up here. I wasn't able to figure out the way to get this working. I found that in Audigy 2 ZS, connecting pins 25 and 35 together fakes Audigy drive, but that does not work on X-Fi. I found that pins 33 and 35 are pulled up to 3.3V logic, which I have no idea why. They are supposed to be input. Only thing I could get to work is SPDIF out. I'm trying to get SPDIF In and MIDI I/O to work right now. If anyone has any idea how to get them to work, please tell me! I wish I had oscilloscope . then I probably can go buy Platinum edition and figure out how to get it work then return.

Just getting S/PDIF out is no problem. Pin 9 is S/PDIF out and it works without any special wiring.
