??? Recommend good keyboard please

I wanna learn how to play keyboard and use it with my audigy card to mix in into soundtracks, since I do DJing, but I dunno which one to get. I dunno whether I should get 88 key one or the 61 key or something. My price range is from 0 to maybe 500 bucks. Tell me if you know of any good ones.

If you think to take it seriously, I'd recommend a 88 key "MIDI keyboard controller" or "piano w/ MIDI I/O" (when you learn to play you'll find those 49 and 61 key boards useless).

a USB keyboard would be the way to go, but make sure the keys are velocity sensitive

I got a question though. this here http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_u...ro88-main.html will it let me load music soundfont banks into it to reassign the keyboard to whatever I want?

What about this one http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_u...ys88-main.html ?

I wanna know whether I want a MIDI controller or a stage piano and what are the main differences.

System Specs

midi controller - is midi only, has no sound generator whatsoever -you need to connect it to one (aka computer)

stage piano - is a stage piano (probably a digital one if it has midi i/o)

Look great! Buying 61-key one is good enough, really doesn't need that 88-key one.

that depends really, if you want to learn to play the piano (using a usb keyboard and piano synth) 88 keys (full sized piano) is the way to go.

however if it's just for messin' around and/or playing synths for production, 49 or 61 keys should be sufficient

Yeah, thanks bud.
I bought 61-key one for my cousin who plays it as well...but for me it only can used for practice of "Iron Finger" Kong Fu. I should get learning started. lol
