CT4830 Missing Capacitor
I have an SB Live! Value (I think) that's missing a capacitor. It's at location C131. Can anyone tell me what type of capacitor I need to put there?

Unfilled component positions are very common, so unless it was lost through some sort of damage, it is probably not included in that variant of the board.

I have the same card in my secondary machine. The numbers on that cap are 47µF and 1.6V, or at least I am assuming that is where the decimals go (I really need a better magnifying glass). Also if you have a decent magnifying glass the cap at the C44 position (bottom left one) it has the same value as the missing one.

as said earlier, unfilled places are common, looking at those pics, there's an IC not soldered in, and a couple of resistors (though it's hard to tell from those pics)
if your card appears to be working fine, then there's no real reason to add the cap EDIT: looking again, there's quite a few components not installed, including quite a few SMD Caps, so there should be no reason to worry FIY your card is a fully fledged Soundblaster Live! Digital (the yellow digital jack and the AUD_EXT header give it away, the Value has a smaller SPDIF_EXT)

I only asked cause if you could really see the card well you could tell that the cap pulled off and the leads are still there. It used to work, but it doesn't anymore. It detects it, but no sound comes out. Might be more wrong with it than just that cap, but if I can fix it, great.
Thanks for the info
