Looking for a software based amplify method
Hey everyone,
First post here. I'll cut right to the chase; I am deaf in my left ear - don't have the aural nerve. No biggie other then a few minor issues, the biggest issue is that in games (Day of Defeat 1.6, Source games etc) I am lost without directional sound. While I know I can't replace it, I also have the issue that sound doesn't seem loud enough. Especially in Ventrillo (combined with DOD sounds it's pretty evil). Is there anything I can do to amplify my sound by software? Like the mic boost, but then a volume boost? I've looked in various places, but to no avail. I have a standard logitech chat headset, because well, spending big bucks on a headset to not have much better sound is redundant to me. Does anyone have any suggestions? Ideas? Pointers to or helpful software or even hardware? Thanks in advance, MoonWitch Last edited by moonwitch; Oct 19, 2006 at 04:21 PM. Reason: forgot to set it to email notification |

unfortunately most programs already reach the maximum output that soundcards can produce - you'll need a hardware amplifier of some sort, and hopefully you don't damage your headset
