I recently had someone craft me an optical in/out connection for my Audigy 2 ZS that makes use of the spdif in/out. I have my xbox 360 connected to it and can play regular digital stereo perfectly fine. However, when I switch over to a 5.1 surround (i'm assuming an ac3 compressed signal) I get nothing. Can the audigy play this back? Or does it just pass through? I have analog speakers connected to the soundcard so passing it through doesn't help at all.
Any ideas? |

check your soundcard control panels for AC-3 Decode… it'll be there somewhere
