Well, I can't really help you out on that, but as far as I know the x-fi gamer chip is different from the x-fi extrememusic and higher ones. This might lead to problems when using the gamer edition. If it has nothing to do with that usual procedure of installation should work (ar least it did for me with my xtrememusic x-fi): Uninstall everything from creative the use drivercleaner pro (www.drivercleaner.net) to remove remaining parts. Then install software from creative except the drivers. Then install the youp-pax drivers for x-fi (this is a special package!). But to tell you the truth I prefer the creative drivers on x-fi. They sound better for me. Greetings.
