Using headset microphone with xfi

i recently bought a creative xfi extreme music , and for some reason when i plug in my headset to use teamspeak it doesnt work , i have the mic plug going into the mic socket on the card and the other one into the correct socket but it just doesnt work , anybody got any ideas about whats happening ?

Make sure that the plug is configured as mic input. Since it can be digital out.

And make sure your mic isn't muted.

I had mine work with the mic volune muted, so it dont really have to be unmuted. Thats how i talked to buddies with other voice programs. When i had my XFi
