Audigy SE VS Live! 5.1
Hi everyone at driverheaven
 About a year ago i bought myself an Audigy SE (know in the US as LS i think) I now have a chance to trade it for a Live! 5.1 (SB0100) The main question is: Is it worth it?  (I think it is, but I just want to be sure :P )Thanks for every comment on this

the SE/LS are not true audigy cards, they do not possess the 10k2 chip that true audigy cards do
if you use modded drivers, the sb live will be more effective (it's 10k1 is more compatible with the drivers than the software based LS/SE card) i doubt there will be too much difference in audio quality, however my guess is that the audigy se may be slightly better

What convinces me is that the Live! 5.1 processes EAX in hardware, not like the Audigy by software, so my CPU (witch is a piece of crap) would not be 'stressed' so much. Also on the Live 5.1 i would be able to install the kX drivers, and be able to play with ASIO and kernel streaming. Though decision for me. |

Don't get live cards you can't get new drivers or modd them
well they haven't been upading live drivers I stay get lease audigy 2 sound card it be worth it.

sorry to hijack your thread but,anyone can answer me this,what is better?ALC650 onboard (0eur cost lol), Soundblaster Live Value 4.1 (5eur) or Soundblaster 5.1 Digital (10eur or more)?
is there a good improvement from the value to the digital?it is for a 2.0 creative sbs260 speaker setup and games... The youp pax drivers can be used in the value?and the kx ones?
