I am having trouble with ventrilo...

Hi I am using a p5b delux non-wifi version and it came with a working albeit crap Mic.

I can talk to people on msn and stuff so i know it works, I have it plugged into the pink mic in [ping to pink] and i get nothing in ventrilo, I can hear people but it doesnt register any sound from me no matter what input I selcet.

I went to bios and swapped it from AC97 to hi def to ac and stuff and tried "line in" and just the normal pink mic but it still isnt working.

Could this be a common issue to do with ports or soemthing as I havent got a clue with those things

If anyone can throw me a bone i'd be really grateful as it is annoying to say the least, and i doubt my online buddies are going to entertain the idea of wholly shifting to TS or Xfire just cus of me....
