compaq nx7300 high defition audio codec problem
I recently bought a new compaq nx7300. And it came with "no"(not at all) discs. It was preinstalled with FreeDOS. So i had to install windows XP. First I had to fight with SATA to install XP Professional. After some search i learned i had to disable SATA from BIOS for Windows Setup to find the HDD.
Now everything looks ok except audio. I installed from HP web site Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio (sp32646) It extracts into c:\swsetup\sp32646 and after extraction it tries to run the setup.exe c:\swsetup\sp32646\Disk1 but exe just crashes after you see the wizard window. In techical spec it says: PremierSound audio/speaker subsystem ADI1981HD High Definition CODEC Integrated 16-bit Sound Blaster Pro compatible audio 24-bit DAC So my question is how can i get sound from this notebook. Thank you very much. Akif, |
