Vista and C&C 3 sound issue

its works... but sometimes it cracks a bit every now and again then works again then after 10 seconds there is a slight crack... must be the drivers for my X-Fi music but isnt there a beta driver or something?

does anyone else have problems?

I havent played any other games (only xbox 360 at the moment)

The sound during video sequences breaks up here. Mostly early on in a sequence, sometimes more and sometimes less. The card is an Audigy 2 ZS so the driver is different from the X-Fi. Switched between two different versions of the Audigy driver but it didn't make a difference. No sound problems during actual playing, so I'd guess there's a problem specific to the video playing engine of the game. I've read some reports about players getting the audio out of sync as well, but probably with other system configurations.

Creative drivers for vista are the pits. I just ripped my card out and am going with onboard now. 100% better experience all round.

Shame on creative I say.

It seems the sound cutouts during game video playback disappeared after putting CNC3.EXE in WinXP compatibility mode (right-click on file).
