I have no idea....I understand Sure makes a great product also.The $249.00 ones are the "cheepies" for this company.They have 1 set thats $1000.00!

Isn't that a bit ridiculous to be using with an iPod, them $1k sets? I mean unless you can get your iPod to do lossless codecs

it would just seem silly to spend like twice to quadruple what the player itself is worth on earbuds alone

Even without the Lossless, there is a massive difference from any of Apple/Sony/Sennheisers earbuds that I have owned in comparison to the Shure E3C's that I currently use.

If anyone is in the market for Shures, the E3C is probably the best to get it offers great isolation with good bass response and acoustics. The E5Cs have a little better audio when used with say like a XFi soundcard with 192khz resampling and whatnot and DSP plugins like Ozone, but they lack the same isolation, I tested them out after reading an article on them. Got them from a local audio supplier that deals in studio equipment.

if so i might actually buy some for my x51v the thing sounds pretty good as long as you get software that takes advantage of all its processing power (PXA270 624mhz CPU, 64mb RAM, and some decent sound chip.....better than my comps integrated thing though

No,the ones I have have red metal casings just before the thingies come out that stick into youre ears.Go to www.ultimateears.com then click on SuperFi products,then you will see them.The "cherry red" ones...."SuperFi 5 Pro".

yup, pretty much the same, just different color. i want to get the black ones as soon as i get the ok to do so.......

i will be ordering 2x512mb sticks of DDR, an 8GB 150x CF card, and a 4GB 150x SD card. that will allow me to store music, movies and readyboost along with these.
