M-Audio Revolution 7.1 @ Legion

Here at Legion Hardware I love to review all forms of computer hardware from motherboards to heatsinks. However, there are products that don’t receive much attention such as keyboards, cases, mice and so on. These are the kind of products I steer clear of. There are many reasons why I avoid these types of hardware. The main reason is they don’t often make for very enjoyable reading content. Another is the write up will be primarily based on the reviewer’s own opinion without benchmarks to back up that opinion. Another product that falls under this category are “soundcards.” There are very limited methods in which they can be benchmarked and most of the review is based on personal opinions. However, audio has become a very common and important aspect of today’s computers. With a recent increase in competition we now have several companies offering sound cards based on different audio controllers. Today, I have decided to look at one of these products from a major audio company.

krang is on a distinguished road

Excellant review Zardon. I agree with everything you stated. This card has been the most impressive soundcard for dvd's and music I've ever used. The drivers and card have not produced a pop or crackle since I got it on the 1st day of release. My 5.1 speakers never sounded so good. This is all I can say , Thats what I'm doing when it's cranked up. Good job!
