Well if I compare the sound quality of the X-Meridian to the X-FI for straight quality. The X-Meridian is worlds beyond the current X-fi's. Now with this card the Gamer will have the same sound quality in their games..

I think you can be assured this card will be a out of the park hit! If it has the sound quality of the X-meridian and the features of the X-fi lines...that is a killer combo...

as long as the drivers aren't creative, i won't worry about it........ but if its creative in the card then im worried....

I have a feeling they'll be based on Creative drivers.

This is a new card so the drivers will be for this card. I wouldn't base a new designs performance on other cards.

Well, they use modded C-Media drivers for their C-Media based sound cards, I think.

That would make sense since most of the good stuff about this card is just purely hardware based, not in the codec (i.e. better DAC's and such)
