??? stick with x-fi or new card?

Hi guys,
I'd like to get some advice from you about if I should buy another soundcard or not. As mentioned in the title above I'm currently using a creative x-fi (more precisely xtrememusic). This is from times when I believed in surround-sound . Some time ago I got myself two good stereo speakers (threw out my old 5.1 system) and hooked them up to my midclass sony receiver. The receiver analoguely connected to the x-fi is my current setup. So guess my priority is listening to music (and watching some movies). I don't need any surround effects in general (like dolby surround, dts) or 3d audio effects in games. So what I want to know: Is there a soundcard out there, which gives me much better sound than I get with my x-fi? I heard about some auzentech cards, especially the x-meridian. But this card has so many features I had to pay for but don't really need (DTS, ...). Money matters, but feel free to post any of your ideas. Thanks in advance.
BTW: I'm using windows xp.

The best feature of the X-Meridian is the analog sound quality. For music and movies it has yet to be matched in it's price range.

Yeah, but is the x-meridian really worth the money, considering that I already have a x-fi? What about the x-plosion or x-mystique or other cards (especially compared to the x-meridian)?

Someone from Germany would like to sent X-Meridian to me, to Poland?

No one wants to distribute this fine card here ;(

exclamation

@Rogacz: That's the way you get it in poland: http://search-desc.ebay.pl/search/se...&fsop=1&fsoo=1
It's not perfect, because the reseller is in Germany, but still better than needing anyone in Germany to buy the card for you.

Thanks for info. It's still expensive due to additional shipping price. I gues I'll have to wait some more.

What about a Auzen X-fi Prelude? -The again if your having issue getting a X-Meridian 7.1 where you are you may have trouble with this one aswell.
Here's new info about this card.

Well Rob, if that was targeted to me, too, I'd say I have to spend even more money on the prelude than on the x-meridian, getting the same quality. So, no good choice for me.
