No Audio Device - Compaq Presario 2100, XP Home
Hello all,
I am recently experiencing a problem with sound on my Compaq Presario 2100. This happened after leaving my PC running once for over a day. I have seen this problem a few times on my pc and as usual thought, I have lost the sound drivers, and installed it. No help though. I searched a few forums, spoke to HP support and tried reinstalling the chipset drivers. That didnt help either. I then tried repairing windows, thinking this could fix the issue. I lost SP2 and all updates, went through installing everything again, but there no sound still. So here I am asking for some help please. I dont think I can attach screenshots here, but should some want to have a look at the 'No Audio Device' under Sounds in Control Panel - or need to look at the msinfo32; I will email it to you. Thanks so much in advance. Regards, N. Last edited by nisarg; Jun 23, 2007 at 02:44 PM. |
