Dell, Creative X-Fi and my pain!

Hi

I have a new DELL XPS 410 system with the following configuration:

4 GB RAM
EVGA Geforce 8800 GTS (640 MB)
X-Fi XtremeMusic (DELL OEM?)

I have been having a major issue while playing World of Warcraft on my computer. The computer will randomly freeze. I can move the mouse around but that not Alt-Tab out or Ctl-Alt-Del to get to Task manager. It wont happen for days at end but then will happen multiple times in a matter of an hour. I believe this is specific to my X-fi card as my wife's computer is identical to mine except of the X-Fi and it runs flawlessly.

I am trying to install the latest drivers from the Creative site along with the Alchemy program when all i get is a "no audio device found" message. I have tried switching PCI slots but to no avail. I have come to the point when I might as well pull the sound card out, go to onboard sound and see if that fixes the problem. I would rather not but I am not having much luck installing the latest drivers or Alchemy on my PC.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciate.
