Need sound guru help

I'm trying to squeeze as much quality out of my Audigy 4 as i can. So far my best result has been to turn on cmss1 and setup my EQ to my preferences. Its good but it could be better. not to mention everytime i start an eax game it resets.

I've tried latest youp-pax drivers but in ventrillo whenever i key up i get a small click sound in my speakers. Also i cant use the apps that came with my audigy(may not be the best, i like them but i am open to new suggestions)

So any help would be much appreciated and i am not opposed to a hardmod but i can't find any on the net. Thanks in advance guys.

*edit: i also use zalman 5.1 headset
