audigy 2 /w tivo w/ Z-680s

I finished building a new computer a week or so ago, great specs and it contains an audigy 2 platinum card. My speakers that I bought are the Logitech Z-680 sorrund sound 5.1 speakers. I also have a Directivo which contains a Optical audio out.

So i connect the optical audio out(tivo's) to the speakers, and the coax audio out on the audigy to the speakers.. no go, seems to only except one input at a time.

Next i try optical in from tivo(goes into computer) out to speakers(so tivo and computer go in one optical cable) works fine except it always says stereo x 2 on the speaker control "center" and anytime i watch a Dolby Digital(5.1) show it kills my audio, which is very bad.

last try, optical in and coax out.. same results as the previous try

any suggestions? and yes i tryed all the basic junk such as making sure its unmuted via the creative icon and updating my drivers for the audigy 2 via their site

figured it out... start-->programss--->creative-->audigy-->audigy HQ then change the SPDIF to AC3
