Plantronics GameCom Pro1 and Vista

Recently I have been getting a ton of this clicking noise in the microphone if I record it, its just click click click also apparent over Ventrilo, which people there clued me into this clicking so I checked it out with sound recorder and it did the same thing.

Does anyone know if there is a fix for this, in searching google I found a little on USB headsets and skype doing the same thing, as for ventrilo and general recording I dont know.
