Auzen Prelude 7.1 REVIEW!

Glad this card turned out like we all had hoped.

Yeah it is a very nice card. Once the updates come adding Dolby digital live and DTS connect it will be a amazing all around card. There is a HDMI 1.3 board on the drawing board that will add new digital standards also. This card will just keep getting better overtime.

Very nice review, being tone deaf sounds always the poor relation in my system but on reading this review I could change my views.
Being an onboard and former creative user i've always been disappointed with driver support for soundcards, how frequent are the updates with the Auzens?
Also I know this is pretty pathetic but did it come with a little packet of colour-coded stickers? So when im scrabbling round under my desk trying to replace a errant cable my job is made a little easier?
One final thing, I know you briefly touched on it but realistically what do you think the chances are of a pci-e version appearing soon? I know it's hard to be sure but have you heard any rumours on the grapevine?

Nope, no stickers. I just remember where they are from one side and count over. I am not sure how soon it will appear....

Rob, how would you say this card's CMSS headphone effect compares to Dolby Headphone?

Creative does have a PCI-e sound card that's available in retail channels right now, actually, though it's just the X-Fi XtremeAudio (AKA Live! 24-bit/Audigy SE).

@MIG-31, Yes thx, that was nice of you.

I liked Dolby Headphones and I had a unique setup which let me use Dolby Headphone while playing EAX games using the Velbac application. I have to say that I used to love Dolby but now I like CMSS3D for gaming. Dolby, I think is meant more for movies and still sound amazing using it for that purpose.
