XP x64 + Audigy 2 ZS + 4 GB RAM = No EAX or hardware channels

I noticed that my newly built rig with 4 GB RAM, Audigy 2 ZS, and XP x64 isn't working quite right in the audio dept. According to Everest, the Audigy has no hardware channels and no EAX support. Guild Wars doesn't see EAX, either. Never seen this happen before. I reinstalled the drivers a few times too.

So, I did a Google search and found that apparently this happens with 4 gigs of RAM. It also happens with the X-Fi cards. I found a supposedly fixed set of drivers for X-Fi, and one fellow said they worked for Audigy 2 as well, but on my system they still had no EAX or hardware channels.

4gb RAM = no EAX or surround sound on X-Fi - PlanetAMD64
XP x64 + 4 GB RAM + Audigy 2 ZS = No EAX or hardware acceleration - Sound Blaster - Creative Labs

Anyone know anything about this?

I've got the same problem, I don't think there's any solution as of now.

New Audigy driver: 4Gb RAM, Equalizer, Stereo Surround, Louder output, 6.1 speakers - Windows Vista - Creative Labs

See that post... I'm not too sure about how drivers should be installed, I've now got that pack, a pack which includes all the applications, and a pack which includes the latest drivers. I'll see what I can make of them all this weekend if I have time.

edit:

Okay, got it sorted out.
Unofficial SB Audigy Series Software CD (Rev 2) for Win 2000 / XP / Server2003 / Vista (32/64-bit) - Windows Vista - Creative Labs

First installed the software package from the second link, then installed the drivers from the first link through the device manager. Installed the latest Alchemy, and overwrote a couple of the files with copies from older versions. EAX is now working fine with 4GB of ram and Vista 64-bit.

I'd guess that you can simply ignore the Alchemy step using XP 64-bit... I never did get my Audigy working properly when I was using that OS though.
