I got a link to a new official install cd image (upzip it and mount the image with Daemon tools etc.) for all Audigy and X-fi series (I think it will even work for the old Soundblaster live series. The image is around 309 MB and includes newer apps, icons and drivers (Windows xp AND vista) for the Creative Labs soundcards. http://count.mydrivers.com/download....o_60011302.zip Good luck! |

I have same card and same problem. I can install manually any driver and card work fine even on linux, but cant install any program and i need them. Is there any way to avoid detection on card by apps to be installed? any alternate installer way or maybe add this card info to the installer?
Best Regards |

If you want better drivers than Creative's go with YouP-PAX, Daniel K's, KX or NGO. |

My problem is like yours; I cannot get my system to recognize the existence of the card. Neither can I find the APPROPRIATE DRIVERS for this card. A Google search turns up 80 million links (as usual), but they are each totally worthless, with people only wanting to sell something. I went to Creative's web site. Found the driver I wanted. Clicked on their "Download" link.... and, the only thing that happens is the link takes me back to their home page! NO DOWNLOAD! ------------------------------------------- Creative Sound Blaster Audigy series driver 2.18.0017 Filesize : 40.42 MB Download Release date : 9 Apr 10 This download is a driver providing Microsoft® Windows® 7, Windows Vista® and Windows XP support for Creative Sound Blaster® Audigy® series of audio devices. For more details, read the rest of this web release note. File Name : SBAX_PCDRV_LB_2_18_0017.exe Requirements:
I wrote the web master about it, but I doubt I'll even get a response. Therefore, can't download what I want from them. I need to know why my system can't "see" the sound card. Using the CD that came with the sound card is a worthless effort. It doesn't install files, although it used to. So... If anyone on this forum can tell me precisely where to get the drivers I need for my following system, I'll appreciate it greatly. * Windows XP Home Edition (Service Pack 2). (I do not want SP3). * Sound card: Soundblaster Audigy SB0090 I need to continue using this card because I cannot purchase another one, currently. |
