Wannetta is on a distinguished road

exclamation Lexicon USB & audio drivers

I sure would appreciate any available help.

I am beginning to think I have some sort of conflict with my current audio drivers and a new Lexicon Omega audio interface.
Using Sonar Pro 7, everytime - even with tech support - all the proper drivers & settings are verified when recording of a few seconds MIDI - then recording that MIDI data to audio (using WDM not ASIO - although I have tried both) is completed and played back the system hangs at a 2nd playback and won't free up unless I disconnect the USB connection to the Omega. Sometimes still crashing Sonar. I have two new Omega units, the problem happens with both. The computer doesn't hang or lock up otherwise.
So for grins I decided to hook up each the Omega to another computer I use in my office and did not have the same issues. Each computer is labor specific for my office, so I can't really swap HD's or contents. At least not easily right now.
Both computers are easily more than adequate regarding CPU, ram & space and use XP Pro. os.
On the "problem" computer the sound, video and game controller list the following:
• ATI T200 Unified AVStream Driver
• Audio Codecs
• Legacy Audio Drivers
• Legacy Video Capture Devices
• Media Control Devices
• Realtek High Definition Audio
• Video Codecs
• (currently have disconnected the Lexicon Omega)
The computer that seems to have no problems with the interface has these drivers listed:
• Audio Codecs
• CMI8738/C3DX PCI audio device (currently disabled - red X)
• Legacy Audio Drivers
• Legacy Video Capture Devices
• Lexicon Direct Device (currently disabled - red X)
• Lexicon USB MIDI Device (Port1)
• Lexicon Win USB Audio 1-2
• Lexicon Win USB Audio 3-4
• Media Control Devices
• Realtek AC'97 Audio for VIA (R) Audio Controller (currently disabled - red X)
• Video Codecs
Are there any clues in the above data that someone could use to help me troubleshoot? The techs at both Cakewalk & Lexicon (Harmon) are not able to figure out the problem.
Although I don't think this has anything to do with it, I am connecting the Omega to a Yamaha Tyros Keyboard - and have also tried it on my Motif with the same results.
