I wanted to buy this sound card but it seemed forever before it hit the stores. So ended up with a audigy 2. Thing is, i have not seen many reviews about this card since its release

Is it any better than audigy 2 ? I use a 5:1 surround system and i do love me music..

It's better for music listening, but it's worse for EAX and games.
And, it's not available in Croatia
I haven't personally had time to try it, but it should be similar in the term of sound quality to Audigy2.

Just BTW, Necrosis seems to like it over Audigy2

I have a Revolution and an Audigy. If you primarily play games, I wouldn't feel too bad about your purchasing an Audigy2. The Revolution has great sound but the Audigy isn't that far behind (with the hacked Audigy2 drivers) IMO. I tried the Revolution on games like Battlefield1942, and UnrealTournament2K3 and the Rev just doesn't do the games justice.

Just curious: are there sound glitches or just poor 3D sound?

No sound glitches, just poor 3D. It's very noticable in BF1942 (night and day).
