rolleyes heads up for xfi titanium fatality i/o module

while most of you are smarter than me & wouldnt make this mistake, this is for those of you who, like me, ASSUME that i/o modules would be compatible within a particular series of cards(xfi in this instance).

anyway, THE I/O MODULE FOR STANDARD XFI CARDS IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH XFI TITANIUM SERIES.
im sending my titanium back & have ordered the 'champion' vers wich has the new io module. newegg was helpful & speedy in this process.

Was LiveDrive! compatible with Audigy series? I doubt. Same here; X-Fi Titanium has new chip (EMU20k2 as opposed to EMU20k1) and it's not surprising that this doesn't work.
The problem is, as you are stating, that it's still called X-Fi, so you would expect it to work...

a buddy of mine has the xfi fatality & it uses the same i/o mod as my card. i thought the titanium part just designated pcie interface & fancy shell. what i get for not researching a little more.
the champion version the card should be here tomorrow so that should take care of it all. put my xfi plat in the wifes comp.
