Help :( Can't change X-FI multi-channel volume separately.

Ok, a search turned up nothing (and i think x-fi is too short anyway) so I have to ask here:

How do you get INDEPENDENT speaker volume settings on an X-fi card, on a 5.1 (or any multi-speaker) setup? On the audigy2, I remember being able to change things like rear speaker left, or center channel volume independently, but not on the X-fi. And, opening "Sndvol32" shows NO "speaker volume" button under the "Play control" volume. Why don't i have that button? That button is supposed to let you change each speaker volume. A search bought up a microsoft article, showing that that button appears only if it detects a multi-channel setup (??). But I do have a multi-channel 5.1 setup....

And no, I don't want to update to the last creative x-fi driver release, (which SEEMS to have that mullti-channel volume settings in Sndvol32) because it totally butchers volume settings, and the remote control volume doesn't change anything at all with it. (changing the master volume seems to change only 2 channels, and UNINSTALLING the driver blue screens windows so badly, that you have to go into safe mode and use driver cleaner to recover...-.- and I do NOT want to do that again...

Is there a way to get independent channel volume working with the current drivers? (i'm using SBXF_PCDRV_LB_2_09_0007.exe, as that's the last one that doesn't totally fubar the volume knob/remote(no volume changes from rear speakers). (i know i HAVE to use sndvol32 to change separate speaker volumes, as the creative console has no provision for this, but again, it seems like it doesn't detect a multi-channel setup for some reason).

I HOPE one of you understands what I'm saying, and can help...
I'm using XP32 with X-fi fatal1ty, and yes, everything is set to 5.1

OK, so your supposed to have these setting but now don't?
Is the Windows conntrol panel set for 5.1?
Maybe you need a driver reinstall.

My creative console launcher only has the following
(under Mixer):

Wave,
Midi Synth
CD player
Line In
Microphone.

Are you saying i need to download a NEW creative console launcher? O_O
How would I do that without having to download the newest, (buggy) driver itself?

and I've never had "speaker volume" button (Under Play Control) on my "SndVol32". I only had it on my Audigy2.
