Need audio driver for XP 64bit

Hi guys,

I have Windows XP pro 64-bit...

I need help with my IBM Lenovo T400 audio driver. Its pretty much my last that I need.

"Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus" is what it shows in the device manager. I figured out how to make it work for Lenovo T61p, But its not working for the T400.

On the Lenovo site, for this model.. they only provide with one audio driver to install and its only for 32-bit windows. The driver would install and device manager indicates its installed, but when you go to Sounds in control panel, its all greyed out and still no sound can be heard.

I tried to use the audio driver from the T61p and do update drivers like I normally would do for the T61p from the device, but it "cannot install this hardware" message comes up.

You guys can take a look on lenovo model 7417-TPU. I am yet again at a lost....

Thanks all

Re: Need audio driver for XP 64bit

Hi, try this : ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp38001-38500/sp38314.exe

but unpack it, and chose INF file manually from XP64 folder, should work

if not than install xp 32 or vista 64
