Hey guys, new here to this community
![]() Well, just like the title says, I have a problem with my audio driver. I recently downgraded from Vista to XP Pro sp 3. The thing is, that my laptop does not play sound at all. I tried uninstalling the audio driver and rebooting, but it showed that it had a problem with it. I tried installing most of the audio drivers, but none of them work. I went to the Sony website to try and get the drivers, but they are only available if you have Vista installed. I also looked in the dxdiag and it said "No sound card was found. If one is expected, you should install a sound driver provided by the hardware manufacturer." I really don't know what else to do. Could you guys help me out? My laptop is a Sony Vaio, model is VGN-FZ283BN, and the MB chipset is Intel GM965. Hope you guys can help me out

Re: Need help with audio drivers...
here are all the XP drivers for the FZ2 series of Sony Vaio notebooks:
zipped files with all the drivers in the zip: Windows XP Downgrade Drivers and Applications for VGN-FZ2 Series(Zip File) : Sony Asia Pacific individual drivers for the notebooks: Windows XP Downgrade Drivers and Applications for VGN-FZ2 Series (Individual drivers) : Sony Asia Pacific your model was not on the list, but the audio drivers should work... i doubt they changed the audio decoder chip on your model only...
