Microphone delay -PCI Express X-Fi Xtreme Audio

I have installed my Creative Soundblaster PCI Express X-Fi Xtreme Audio and there seems to be a slight delay between the microphone and sounds coming out....im using the spdif connection....and running xp...any ideas for a solution ?....much appreciated...

This sounds like a latency issue to me. Worth googling it as it's quite complex to explain.

unfortunately I don't think there'll be much you can do about the latency, as CL probably doesn't offer low-latency drivers for your model...

Thank you for your responses ...yes checked google and latency issues ...again your correct no drivers for latency issues with my pci card !!...thanx again...

Hi,
i got that too when I use spdif with my xbox360, to fix it I uncheck the monitor case then re-check it.

i dont know what is doing this :/

Hi, I'm using the line-in connection, and I have the same problem. If I deactivate the monitor button in mixer and I activate it again, there is less delay. But, the problem persists a few minutes after. Any idea?
