Razer Barracuda HP-1 and AC-1 HELP NEEDED

hello everyone,
new to the forums in look of some help!
i purchased the razer package not to long ago, and ever since ive had some problems with the headset mic. for some reason the mic on the headset will only work if the mic is set to "boost microphone"
for me this is very annoying as it catches every sound made in my room, (small bedroom)
i read on this site someone managed to get an asus sound card driver to work with the razer barracuda sound card, and it managed to fix his problem, bad thing is it was dated back in 2007, i tried installing asus drivers and it failed completely,
can anyone help me or give me some advice on my situation?

HI, I had ac-1 + hp-1 half year ago, but I sold ac-1 because of drivers for it, mic in hp-1 isn't good..., You can use drivers from Asus Xonar D2, just manually choose the INF file from asus drivers pack, but asus software will not work with razer, razer is based on CMI 8788 chip, asus as well, apps from CMI drivers should work with razer. When I installed asus driver on my old AC-1 mic worked a little better, check it.

thank you very much! actully i ran onto that forum but didn't know how to install the driver, yes the card is good but the drivers aren't the greatest. hopefully the improve, but i usually dont use any of the features, as long as the sound and mic works im happy

also just wondering how do you run the inf file? do you use device manager?

yes, You have to use device manager
