MOBO's SPDIF IO and Questions

I'm a just Realtek ALC883\ALC888\ALC889 onboard soundcards user,

so as HD Audio commonly provides S/PDIF Input/Output option,
and especially affordable coaxial one (just up to 5m length 75 ohm antenna cable)

I just tried to get Digital out from my 4ms latency ASIO kX Audio Card into Realtek HD Audio ...
well, I could even record from my Realtek HD Digital Audio Input because Data Validation was Valid,
Copy Protection was Copy Free, Sampling rate was PCM 48 kHz and status Locked ...
but I couldn't get any "realtime spdif in playback" ... strange enough isn't it?

How can I get any realtime playback from my mobo's spdif in ?!
is there any special hack for that?

that depends entirely on the drivers for your built in soundcard... there should be an option, i think there was on my old alc655 based chipset, but the last time i checked was a few years ago

yup ... so I asked about that at realtek site.

And I got an answer from realtek technical support ...

currently there is only one way to get any "spdif monitor"
its to play back recorded data from "Realtek HD Audio Digital Input" device
but its not suitable for any realtime operations ...
