New Official Sound Blaster Audigy 1 Drivers Released

"Creative Labs finally managed to deliver a new driver set for the original Audigy series. This is a split up release that should contain 5 parts from which 3 are already available.
Unfortunately there is no update for the Creative Surround Mixer and the Creative Diagnostics. I hope that the new drivers will work with these two apps none the less."
Quoted from Warp2search

Any one know what drivers these are, are they they .383 or .384. I'm just wondering

Anyone has any clue if we have to install these over the previous update (L11), or just install the CD drivers and these updates. ?

Right now, Creative is apparently getting slammed and I can't get to the drivers to download them. Any mirrors?

Yep, you should be able to just install over the drivers you're using now.

Geez...now it's getting worse at Creative. I just get "page cannot be found" when I go to the drivers (america) section now.

I guess they're not 'creative' enough.

EDIT: Alrighty, the site finally came up for me, they must have added another server or something. Anyway, the mixer works just fine with the new drivers. I also noticed that I now have a 2.1 speaker option as opposed to just stereo.

As for performance....I don't know, I never had any problems before. But things still seem to be working OK.
