Razer Mako speakers have arrived!
I was lucky enough to win a set of Razer Mako speakers earlier this year, and they arrived today. I've nothing to compare them with, as I've never owned any even similarly high quality speakers before, but I'm extremely impressed. Here they are, pictured, oddly enough, in a caravan. Don't worry, it's not to be their permanent home :P

Sorry they took so long but glad I managed to kick it into action last week.

Great aren't they? use a pair myself with my media PC (mac mini). I hope the next revision has a little remote controller.

Also noticed you have Queen playing - good man !

Great. Sorry I can't be more descriptive :P

They did take a long time, but seeing as I didn't pay anything I can't really complain! Definitley a big thanks to DH and Zardon for sorting this out.

yeah I had a THX set by logitech for years and years until the subwoofer died. awesome speakers (the high end logitech stuff is always quality anyway).

Crazy thread necro incoming.

I just found myself thinking about this, and thought I'd post.

I continue to be so impressed by these speakers, day in, day out. Every time my housemates are out for a bit, and I turn the music up a little, that wow factor is still there. The crispness, detail and bass response is just incredible. I can just sit and listen and be absorbed by it. Whenever I watch a movie with anyone who hasn't heard them before, they comment on how incredible the sound is, and how much it adds to the film. And despite me moving them to and from uni every term, they're good as new. Thanks HH, and I'm so glad I didn't sell these

I generally tend to avoid products where the brand value appears to account for so much of the price. So as a disclaimer, I should probably say that I've no experience of other setups in this price bracket. Doesn't make me any less happy with them, of course

I've still got them too. Have lasted very well and I can say with some confidence they still sound better than anything else in a similar price range, and often well above.

Without doubt one of the best items I/we have ever reviewed.

Usually, people are initially thrilled about their new audio equipment and then they start to notice small imperfections more and more over time, so the fact that you're still that happy with the speakers speaks volumes.

Yeah, reviews from recent buyers (e.g. consumer reviews on retail sites) should always be viewed as having a massive positive bias. Partly it's initial excitement and partly it's purchase vindication. There'll also be a few negative outliers caused by incompetence, I suppose.
