Is my subwoofer/amp blown?

Ok,

I have Monsoon MH-505 and it had been fantastic. A few days ago, the bass sound dispeared. Then I check the back of the connection and little later, it came back. Today, the bass is gone again. I checked everything but still there's no sound from subwoofer. In the Soundstorm control panel, I see the bass level LED goes up and down as I play music and some sample sound files but I am not hearing any bass from the subwoofer as usual.
I believe the amp is built in the Subwoofer enclosure. It's quite warm if I touch it at the back.

Is this the case of subwoofer or built-in amp blown?
Did you guys ever encounter such problem?

Donator
open up the sub woofer case and check to see if the cone is damaged at all, it its still in pristene condition then its your amp. Even very small holes can wreak the sound quality of it.
