nvidia control panel prob

i have a msi k7n2 motherboard. i had problems findin the nvidia control panel so i downloaded the nvidia 2.03 drivers in a seperate partition , formatted my windows partition and did a clean installation on win xp pro. i installed sp1 directx 9 and then the mobo drivers. but still same problem. i have inspire 4.1 speakers, i have connected them properly front one green , rear one blue but sound comes only from 2 of them.using 1 wire if i connect the front speakers to the green socket behind motherboard and let the other wire alone then sound comes from all of them. i have installed the 2.03 drivers successfully but there is no nvidia control panel nor the speaker setting wizard in the taskbar nor any where in my computer. if i click sound storm in C:\NVIDIA\nForce\WinXP\2.03\AudioUtl it says failed to initialize sound drivers please install and try again. i have installed the mobo drivers thrice already but it gives the same prob.inthe control panel advanced speaker settings i have already selected quadrophonic speakers. can some 1 please help me?

There's no data on the K7N2 on MSI's website. I've found the following:
K7N2 Delta-L - does NOT feature NVIDIA APU
K7N2 Delta-ILSR
K7N2G-L - does NOT feature NVIDIA APU
K7N2G-ILSR
K7N2GM-L - does NOT feature NVIDIA APU
K7N2GM-IL - does NOT feature NVIDIA APU

Wich one do you have?

EDIT: If your board does not feature the NVIDIA APU, I think this is the driver you should install: http://download.msi.com.tw/support/dvr_exe/alc52.exe

My bad, there WAS an K7N2, but it's discontiniued. Anyway, it doesn't feature the NVIDIA APU, so use the drivers I linked above, or use this set (should be better):
ftp://152.104.125.40/pc/ac97/alc650/wdm_a345.exe

Your motherboard doesn't have the NVIDIA SoundStorm/APU, that's why NVIDIA's drivers don't work. The drivers I linked are official Realtek ALC650 AC97 CODEC drivers, as that's used on your mainboard. You can find the newest version at www.realtek.com.tw. It's not better than SoundStorm, it's a software based solution. Calcualtions are performed by the CPU.
The NVIDIA APU/SoundStorm on the other hand is just the processing unit, it doesn't have any digital to analog converters, so it needs an additional ADC converter or an AC97 CODEC. The Realtek is often used.

For your motherboard you should always install NVIDIA's nForce package, and these AC97 drivers (If you want to use the CODEC, you can always get a real soundcard and disable the CODEC in the BIOS).
