Cant click on Micorphone

Hi please can anyone help? I cant click on Mic. I have followed all institutions but cant get the click in the mic. I bought a new mic thinking it might be that but thats not. I need it to use skype. I cannot keep in touch with anyone. Please can you help?

Might want to check your sound adapter drivers and cfg.

Some system specifications would help.

What motherboard you are using, are you using onboard sound or a separate sound card and if so, which model?
