hi
I,m wanting to hook my audigy2 value to a 5.1 amp ...Idont have a i/o mod At the back i hav 4 ports, 1 of which is a digital out all in 3.5 stereo plug I tried once b4 but only got 4 channels to work My question is this...... is the 3.5 plug for digital a normal stereo plug or a special plug or are there some pins on the card that would give the signal cheers |

Re: audigy2 value ac3
you need 4 pin 3.5 jack fr/sr/c.sw in creative they are separeted on the back for their digital in speakers that's pretty stupid ! if you want real dts /ac3 you need spdif in/out pinout some tos link modules but i think you card didnt have a proper spdif out , cheers

Re: audigy2 value ac3
Koceto is right, to use pure SPDIF out the Digital output uses 4 pins (ground + 3 stereo outputs) though it should have AC-3 passhrough for pre-encoded content such as DVDs
