Please take a look at my weird X-Fi SB0770's problems
This is a story about my crazy X-Fi SB0770, I've tried very hard every ways I could think of just to make it work normally, but it still doesn't.
First, if I don't install any drivers, it works but sound is not really good like a X-Fi soundcard. I can play music, movies... and I can hear sound from it. But the sound is not like from a Creative X-Fi sound card. It couldn't work and it didn't give any sound when I tried to install a suitable driver for it. I alway clear every trace of Creative drivers prior to installing a driver for the card. I tried its original cd driver from Alienware, the X-Fi Support Pack 2.0, the SBXF_PCDRV_LB_2_18_0013.exe driver, PAX drivers.... but it couldn't work. I don't know much about hardware IDs. But you can see below: You guys please take a look and give me some advices. I'm dying here because of this card. I really appreciate your helps. |

Re: Please take a look at my weird X-Fi SB0770's problems
I have found that sometimes Windows gets confused with it's plug & play settings and removing the card and moving it to another PCI slot forces all its various values to be reset.
Otherwise you would be better off looking on the Creative forum. I think this issue has been addressed there. Type 'creative soundblaster forum' into Google. |
