Sharkoon XTatic 5.1 Digital Headset

So...while I send off my pair of Sennheiser PC350's to be repaired (for the very annoying cost of $80), one of my relatives (literally) just gave me a pair of Sharkoon's XTatic Digital headsets.

And I have to say, I'm really impressed. I had used 5.1 headsets before, but never been really too impressed (oh Medusa, how you failed me...).

My first comments are that the high is lacking a little bit, but they're about half as heavy as the PC350's, and the bass and midsection seems to be just as good as the Sennheisers.

Luckily, the 5.1 is really amazing...something the 350's will never be able to fix, unfortunately . I'm running it over analog right now, was too impatient to try and set up optical (I'm using onboard Realtek audio, and have never been able to get the optical to function properly).

Also...they also come with adapters for use with the PS2, PS3, and 360, which makes it even better. And all the parts come separated from the actual speaker system, meaning if any part breaks (ie: cable, mic, etc) you can replace it (at no cost from Sharkoon!) without having to de-assemble/re-solder anything.

Anyone ever tried a pair? They're worth the cost ($160) IMHO, and it would be great to see if HH could do a write up on them.
