Auzentech X-Fi Titanium Equivalent?
Does Auzentech make a audio card that's identical to the Creative SB X-Fi Titanium (a.k.a. SB0880)? And if so, are the drivers interchangeable?

Re: Auzentech X-Fi Titanium Equivalent
Dont think so, the Auzentech cards are very much custom designed X-Fi cards. The closest you would get is probably the Bravura but it wipes the floor with the SB0880. Higher quality components throughout and the ability to change OP-Amps etc.
As for drivers, they are interchangeable but usually that would require some info modding. Best to stick with Auzentechs version of the Creative drives or use our own PAX drivers ![]() Is there something in particuar that you need the card to do well? |

To answer your question, I have an XBox 360 that I use as more of a DVD / video player, one that I would love to have playing in 5.1 (at the very least). I was hoping that when I connected an Toslink optical cable from the XBox to the optical input on the sound card that I would get just that. Unfortunately, the only thing that plays in 5.1 is the 360 start-up sound. So I was hoping that maybe the Auzentech drivers might be an improvement. But as you say, Auzentech, no doubt, wipes the floor with Creative, as my week-long ordeal with getting my X-Fi Titanium set up correctly has proven. I suppose Creative has really gone down in quality over the years. |
