X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS issue
hey
got an X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS edition running on win7 now i installed the official drivers, and i tried the latest PAX drivers too, both times cleaning everything up properly with driver sweeper in safe mode, but something isn't right. when i go into creative control panel and change anything, i lose all sound. so atm it's stuck at 5.1 speaker config, when i need it at 2.0. but if i change it, the soundcard stops working altogether until i hit the "restore to defaults" so anyone know of a known problem or something, and more importantly, how do i fix it ??

Re: X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS issue
What happens if you change speaker config in Win7's audio panel to stereo instead of/or before using the creative tool?

(totally killed all sound messing around with the registry.. )edit: ok, i managed to sort of kill all the sound, but it still works fine through the front panel headphone jack. i confused ![]() edit2: spent all day messing with drivers and the registry, and honestly don't know what i did exactly that solved the problem, but it's fixed ![]() edit3: ok, everything is working as it should, but my speakers are making little tinny ruffly poppy noises. the card is really crammed in there tight next to the 2 gfx cards, think it's just that ?
