I can not install the X-Fi Elite Pro (model SB0550) on the motherboard intel (DP55KG)
I can not install the X-Fi Elite Pro (model SB0550) on the motherboard intel 1(DP55KG) and video card (EVGA GeForce GTX 250 - PCI Express 2.0 - 512MB - DDR3). Windows 7.
updated the bios of the motherboard - intel site I downloaded the latest driver from creative - creative website I downloaded a file to identify the product win7 - creative website when I install the sound card, the PC does not work, then the two long beeps (x2) and ends Once installed and successful, but when I restarted the PC again the beeps. HOW CAN I TRY TO INSTALL? |

Before installing the drivers of sound card go to BIOS and disable on-board sound and try again. Uninstall all on-board sound drivers or any other which you were using previously.

disable the on board!
nothing! I think the OS is the problem!? the version of Windows 7 may not be compatible I think I'll test other OS ... |

if the computer is beeping during post without booting, it's a hardware issue - the meaning of the beeps depends on the brand of bios, you might want to check the mob's manual to figure out what they mean

dj_stick - the beeps are similar to those found in the manual of the motherboard:
video error On-off (1.0 second each) two times, then 2.5-second pause (off) Entire pattern repeats (beeps and pause) and once the BIOS will boot to proceed. 932 Hz When the VGA option ROM is found. -------------------------------------------------- --------------------- But I think it is not video, because when I remove the sound card, everything works normally! |

Try another PCI slot (boot once without the card installed) and remember push the card properly into slot (so it becomes locked).
