Creative SB XFi Extreme Audio XP to Win 7 64bit

Hi, excuse me if I am out of order, this is my first post.
I have the above card which I bought to replace my SB Audigy 2 series card, while running XP Home. A great piece of kit until..... I installed Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. Despite exhaustive comms with Creative, despite downloading and trying all their suggested drivers, I have ended up with intermittent listenable audio interspersed with spits and crackles like fat on a fire. I have lost the Graphical Console launcher and have a tabbed window type that does not allow me to use anything other than a 2.1 speaker set up. Mediasource 5 and Wave Studio 7 are ok as separate downloads.
I've spotted references to PAX drivers for this card and would like some kind soul to take me by the hand and lead me to a solution. Any takers?
Thanks in anticipation.

Hold on second here...So you did have the whole console at one point? The option to choose between modes and the graphic equalizer? I have the same sound card and if you read my post asking for help (a few down from yours) I'm not able to get the proper application installed to allow me access to the features you say you lost in your convert over to Win 7. So the features do exist!! Why in world can't I get them to work? All I end up with is what you have described: the tabbed little widnow that gives some lame-o options and that's it. I'm still running XP too so I just don't understand why I can't get the whole app package working. I just figured it didn't exist with the Xtreme Audio. Now I'm just annoyed....

Re: Creative SB XFi Extreme Audio XP to Win 7 64bit

Hi Randy, Yup, I had all the bells & whistles and now I have diddley squat! The last advice I have from Creative is to purchase a ne Creatve SB X-Fi Fatality Professional card at mega money! I'm beginning to think of movin' on but haven't a clue where to go. I need some help from Robert McLelland with his PAX drivers, I've downloaded a couple but can't seem to get 'em to load up. If you read this Robert...help please!

Thanks for your reply Randy P
