PlxCore.ply

It says this. This application has failed to start because PlxCore.ply was not found. Re-installing this may fix this. WTF is this? It happened when I was trying to install my driver from the cd. Something is very odd here. Some of the program in the cd giot corrupted, cus they are not running. The big one is the creative surround mixer. Even d/l it on the web and nothing it will not run. Tried uninstalling it and used driver cleaner. Everytime I reinstall the cd driver, it ask for the windows XP cd. I don't know what and why this is happening. Why do I need to put the XP cd in for?

I suppose you should put in the XP CD... see what happens....

...also, though I sincerely hope this is not the case, faulty installations of Creative drivers can destroy perfectly good XP installations up to the point where a reformat is absolutely necessary...

Oh man don't tell me XP is screwed up. The drivers work and I got sound and eax is working but it's just annoying haveing to put the xp disc in. Before I did a clean install, it was fine, after it, problems with the audugy2. Up until that time I never once had to put in the xp disc when installing the audigy1 or 2 drivers. So I'm assuming something is corrupted. Can't use the creative auto driver scan anymore, keeps saying there are driver corruptions. Oh well as long as it works, I'll live with it for now.

As long as you don't get reeboots/BSODs, don't worry about it.
